Our client is a European forest industry group that produces wood based products with more than 9,000 employees (annual turnover over 5 billion EUR).
A large division within the group sustainably produces and distributes high-quality paper-based consumer goods - in particular toilet paper, towels, household paper and baking paper - with approx. 2,500 employees.
The high-quality and broad product portfolio is marketed via retail to consumers (B2C) and via wholesalers to professional users / industrial customers (B2B).
The most important B2B products, hand towels and toilet tissue, are produced and marketed for public washroom use operated by facility management.
High-quality and design-oriented dispenser systems play an essential role in the use of the hygiene papers in washrooms.
Therefore these dispenser concepts and systems (made of high-quality plastic or stainless steel) are developed under the company's own brand name and sold to professional users / industrial customers (B2B).
For managing the product development activities of dispenser systems and dispenser solutions we are looking for a Product Development Manager Dispensing (f/m/d) as soon as possible.
Within the mobile office policy, you will work either at the location in the Cologne/Aachen area or at the location in the Bonn/Koblenz area plus frequent workdays in your home office.

Your tasks
- Developing the product portfolio - Development of new products and further development of existing products.
- Responsible management of all product development projects for the dispenser offering
- Development of product concepts, definition of requirements and specifications, preparation of Statements of Work
- Briefing and management of design agencies, implementation of design and project realization with suppliers
- Project management throughout the entire product development process - product idea to serial production
- Collaboration with wholesalers and end users to identify new materials, technologies and innovative applications
- Close cooperation with suppliers as well as the internal interfaces like purchasing, paper development, marketing, product management and sales
Your profile
- Technical or commercial study
- Experience in product development in the washroom / hygiene / facility management market segment
- Sound project management experience, strong in managing development projects
- Experience in managing suppliers as development/production partners
- Basic knowledge of materials - plastics, stainless steel, steel etc.
- Experience with pulp products (tissue) and plastic injection molding would be advantageous
- Good technical understanding, enjoying to work with technical details
- Proactive, team spirit, ability to communicate complex issues, analytical and well-structured working style
- Creativity, good communication skills, flexibility, enjoying to work independently
- Fluent English (written and spoken), additional German language skills preferred, proficient use of modern IT systems
